March Webinar: W-2 Reporting
Tuesday, March 13
2 p.m. ET / 11 a.m. PT
Larger employers (those issuing more than 250 W-2s for 2011) must report the value of their employees' health coverage on the W-2s they issue for 2012 (in January 2013). Given the complexities of this process, now is the time to start preparing for compliance with this reporting requirement. The IRS has issued two rounds of guidance on this requirement (most recently in Notice 2012-9), but that is likely to be all the guidance we have before the requirement takes effect.
In this webinar, Ken Mason and Julia Vander Weele of Spencer Fane Britt & Browne LLP will provide an overview of this new reporting requirement, summarize the IRS guidance issued to date and address a number of different factual scenarios that employers are likely to face. The goal is to help employers comply with this requirement without having to put their entire payroll department on forced overtime during the 2012 holiday season.
