Employers looking to limit healthcare expenses related to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act while still providing individuals with flexible and convenient options for medical coverage are turning to high-deductible health plans as the most viable choice for long-term use.

In a recent survey by the International Foundation titled the 2013 Employer-Sponsored Health Care: ACA's Impact, 64 percent of healthcare organizations revealed that they had examined the anticipated changes in cost that the ACA would create for medical coverage, and claimed that a 3 to 4 percent rise in expenses is anticipated.
